Birthday Parties
Our parties are what everyone is talking about! Taking care of everything from the set up to clean up and everything in between all you have to do is the cake, snacks and favors. Not all parties are dance parties... they can be whatever your child’s heart desires!!! Since our weekends fill up quickly, booking ahead of time is highly recommended! Waiting Room Etiquette
*Here at Dance It Up we have an open door policy... if you ever have any questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to address them with me, the director, at any time. Please do not address them with other parents in the waiting room. I am the only one who can answer or clarify any questions for you and I am always available to you. In our waiting room we ALWAYS like to keep the atmosphere friendly and positive!!! We always tell the dancers, "If you do not have anything nice to say, please keep the comments for outside the studio." Whether it is another studio, dancer, questions, concern or anything that is negative in general, please keep it out of the studio. Those types of conversations are not permitted to be entertained in the studio or any studio related activity. It always helps the dancers to have positive energy surrounding them at all times to help them reach to their potential. We are a dance family, so please support all dancers, their love for the art, and cherish all the friendships that will be made over the next year and many more to come!
What are NEWSLETTERS?
Newsletters are how all our important information is handed out throughout the year. The 1st of every month a newsletter is available on our website and hung up at the studio. They have all the important dates, programs, celebrations, costume and recital information for the entire year. Be sure to read them every month or you will miss out on very important information!!!
Class Placement
The faculty of Dance It Up will place the student where they feel will be the most positive and beneficial experience to each child. We put children in classes where they will continue to
grow at the pace that best suits them. Dance ability and amount of hours of training do not reflect upon one another in all cases. Therefore, friends will not be placed together for convenience unless they are the same level. Students are placed not only by age, but also by ability. Many factors are taken into consideration when placing a student in a class. Our faculty
believes in setting each student up for success. Dance It Up is a place to nourish their potential to the best of their ability with confidence while having fun. If you ever have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your cooperation.
"Does Registration Ever End?"
We take registrations year round for dancers ages 3-7. Dance It Up will take registration until January 15th for our recital programs. We also offer spring programs that run 6-8 weeks in length and run between March and June. For dancers ages 8 and up we offer classes from September to January and then again starting in June for the summer courses.
Safety and Attendance
Regular class attendance is important for the growth of each dancer. It is important for a class to progress as planned so the students know the routines and are comfortable and confident to perform them in our year end recital. Attendance affects all the students when the routines are being choreographed.
Students are not allowed to leave the studio unless accompanied by a parent. If your child is going home with a friend, or another adult, please make sure they are aware of it. In between classes the studio is very busy, so please arrive on time to pick up your child.
Snow days, Inclement Weather, and Make-Up Classes
In the event of inclement weather, please contact the studio or check our website after 3pm. We will post a message providing you with the necessary information. Classes closed for inclement weather, or classes missed for an illness will not be reimbursed. Students are encouraged to try different principles of dance at the appropriate level to make up a class. Instructors are always available in assisting you finding the right level for your child so they have a positive experience. All make up classes must be made up by the end of June.
Bring a Friend
Your dancers are more than welcome to bring a guest to try our classes in the beginning of the year. In fact, we encourage it!!! They may not always be in the same class, but definitely part of the same dance family! For every friend that you get to register for our recital program you get $10 towards your account. Anyone who recommends 5 friends has a choice of $100 or a free party with EVERYTHING included. Be sure to tell Mrs. Jennifer if you recommend a friend. With so many new friends joining every year we want to make sure you receive your Thank You properly!
Classes for the Boyz
Dance It Up has the hottest classes around for all the Boyz! Come on in to the studio and see our boyz from ages 5-13 hit the hottest moves in Hip Hop and Break Dancing. Creating the largest boys program in the area, Dance It Up is the place to send your young B-Boy to learn and love the art. Learning through dedication, determination, desire to excel, and discipline these boys are the hit at all performances!
